The Lieutenant of Inishmore

A production at the Garrick. The poster needed to be iconic and clean, the actors weren't well known and could be changed at anytime so an execution that didn't show the cast was required. The solution was to get a great pose of the two actors together and then use that as a silhouette. Not only would it be strikingly strong but it would also help avoid issues that might arise from the likelihood of future cast changes. With simple typography and a red/white/black combination the final result was iconic and quite contemporary for theatre at the time.
