



Billy Elliot The Musical
2015 - 2016
Having worked on the Billy Elliot brand since the beginning and being the Senior Designer on the show, I enjoyed the challenge of refreshing and revitalising the brand to give the show a final West End marketing push.
In the final year of the Billy Elliot production a design was required that would take the branding back to its core, but also find a way to incorporate all the great quotes that had amassed through out the years. The solution I found was to use the Billy 'jumping boy' element as a focal point positioned center of the poster whilst using the quotes in a justified centered stack complimenting the image in front. Giving some depth to the artwork and using the text as a strong graphic presence. Using a white background to replicate the initial first posters designs of 2006.
